Taking over the internet, the app BeReal was all the rage my junior year. I wanted to take a step back from the serious topics I often cover and focus on the app's success, and most importantly, why students loved it so much. As my first entertainment feature, I had a great time speaking to students about their favorite BeReal posts, how they rush towards their phones when the daily notification would go off, and how it created a more realistic peek into others' lives that other platforms lacked.
