This past year, Gov. DeSantis accused Park Maitland, a charter school in Orange County, of having ties to the Chinese Communist Party. A comment that caused distress and aggravation had to be covered, so I researched the incident and got to work. In this piece, I focused on how harsh remarks like this can cause true damage to the institution's reputation, doing more harm than good.
