When looking for news stories to cover, I will often turn to our school's event calendar for inspiration. I saw that our school would be holding a voter registration drive in our auditorium and thought it would make a great news story. Through interviews, I learned that this was an annual event held in partnership with our Government and Economics classes and the City of Oviedo. Talking to the teachers, students, and attending the presentation given by the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections, I learned about local government and how students on our campus could get involved in politics.
