Like any other high schooler, I've struggled with my skin. However, introduced to the drug Accutane by my friend who has cystic acne, I wanted to cover how this prescription's side effects impacted students, and if the drug even worked. Remaining anonymous, I spoke to students who had been on and off Accutane, comparing their experiences with the statistics provided by the CDC on the drug. To accurately report on Accutane, I had understand the drug not only culturally, but scientifically. Research was heavy for this story to properly explain how some of the students' side effects were connected. Overall, I learned a lot about Accutane's long list of side effects and how each student's experience varied.
