Outside of newspaper, I serve as the president of my school's Girl Up chapter and the Coalition Leader of the organization for Florida. A large part of our club's focus is on menstrual poverty in schools, so when I learned that House Bill 1069 would threaten students' ability to learn about menstrual health in school, I was furious. To further educate myself and others on this threat, I decided to write an opinion piece on the bill, winning my first Best of SNO in opinion writing.
